Aviation Medical First Responder (AvMFR)
AvMFR was launched to meet the needs of those who provide or are likely to provide unscheduled clinical care within the flight environment. Therefore, AvMFR is suitable for those within the military, law enforcement, close protection, risk and safety management, television and media, as well as airlines and aircraft operators who wish to upskill the aviation medicine output provided by operating crew. Taught by operational aeromedical clinicians, AvMFR prepares the clinician to become the "unexpected flight medic" in a safe yet challenging environment.
AvMFR truly immerses attendees in the world of in-flight emergencies. The course the foundations of aviation physiology, laws and ethics of providing care in-flight, realistic clinical scenarios onboard the aircraft. Attendees are also introduced to various Safety Equipment Procedures (SEP) practical's including fire and smoke management, rapid decompression, emergency evacuation, and equipment familiarisation which are delivered by qualified instructors. AvMFR is truly the one-stop shop for individuals or organisations requiring comprehensive yet, appropriate in-flight emergency medical training.
